Peter O’Brien Projects is headed by Peter O’Brien. Peter is a visionary entrepreneur who brings vision, dynamism and long-standing experience to projects in the areas of 21st Century transport, tourism, catering and urban development. He is supported by project teams comprised of specialists in their fields such as architects, engineers, advertising executives, legal specialists, finance specialists and tourism experts.

With over 40 years worldwide experience, Peter has developed projects in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and the United States. He was an integral adviser to the Sydney 2000 Olympic games organising committee working on all aspects of the catering. Peter O’Brien Projects has delivered numerous aquariums worldwide, (see our projects) and prior to that Peter was responsible for the establishment of Australian Venue Services into a $150 million per annum organisation.

Peter has very few peers in Australia when it comes to advocacy on behalf of business having been President of both the Victorian (VECCI) and Australian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). In these roles Peter encouraged the creation of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and later, the creation of privately-funded Plenary venue for which he was a Director for seven years.

Peter has also been a Director of Tourism Australia and until recently sat on the industry advisory panel to the Australian Trade Minister.

Peter O’Brien Projects is currently working on developing a new 21st Century light rail express train from Melbourne's CBD to Melbourne Airport ( Peter is also an adviser to a consortium developing a Surf Park for Melbourne Docklands.
